Strong character in aroma and taste
Pu-erh tea is characterized by its full body and rich, earthy aroma. Through the fermentation process, this tea develops a complex flavor profile with deep, earthy notes accompanied by subtle sweet, woody and sometimes slightly smoky nuances. The taste can vary depending on the degree of maturity and production method, but ranges from mild and sweet to strong and spicy.
Our Pu-erh tea is carefully grown and harvested in the traditional tea gardens of China. The tea leaves are fermented after harvest and then pressed or made into loose leaf. Making Pu-erh tea requires patience and expertise as the tea is often aged for years or even decades to reach its full potential.
Preparation: When making Pu Erh tea, make sure that the tea does not stay in the water for too long, otherwise it can have a very strong effect. Do not pour water that is too hot. We recommend an infusion of around 70 to max. 80 degrees. Then let the tea steep for around 1 to 2 minutes.
Origin: China.
